Client Services Associate

Bluerock is a national real estate investment, development and asset management company providing institutional-quality investments for individual investors.

Bluerock’s continued growth has created the opportunity for an additional Client Services Associate in our Southfield, Michigan office.

Our newest team member will have a minimum of three years investment client services back office experience having worked as an administrator or assistant for a high-volume financial advisor, independent broker-dealer, investment wire house, and/or professional real estate title and escrow company.

Client Services is a valuable function of the Investor Relations Team, a fast-paced, high-touch group and an integral part of Bluerock. This position provides exposure to senior leadership and participates in many key projects some of which you will drive and own. Our IR Team provides first-class client service through immediate and direct communication with investors, financial advisors, and investment-related professionals. The Client Services Associate will participate in all aspects of investor relations and capital raising activities and is responsible for communicating directly with Bluerock’s investors, handling requests for information from prospective and existing investors, and processing investor subscription documents. The candidate must possess superior written and verbal communication skills, the ability to respond to requests in a timely manner, and an aptitude for research gathering and analysis. Must be motivated and deadline-driven with extreme attention to detail.

Qualifications:

  • Associates in business (finance, accounting or related field) preferred or 3 years work experience in related field
  • Relevant work experience with in-house investor relations or client services or within the investment banking division of a financial institution, real estate title and escrow department, or qualified intermediary a plus
  • Familiarity with corporate investor relations functions and custodial accounts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main contact between the company and Bluerock retail investors and shareholders, broker-dealers, financial advisors, custodians, and sales teams
  • Field inbound investor calls and requests for information
  • Resolve retail investor/shareholder issues with Bluerock accounts
  • Process real estate transactions relating to 1031-exchange transactions by coordinating with qualified intermediaries, escrow, legal, and accounting professionals
  • Actively participate in the management and maintenance of existing investor relationships
  • Coordinate with accounting, financial and compliance departments to respond to general investor requests
  • Support the compiling of key messages to be conveyed to investors and support executive management with their investor communications
  • Maintain investor contact (“CRM”) database
  • Assist in the preparation of internal and external communication materials (e.g. press releases, quarterly reports, Q&A materials, presentations, etc.)
  • Collaborate in developing and implementing best practices for the investor relations program, including messaging strategy, investor targeting, and communication practices
  • Serve as a liaison between Investor Relations and other Bluerock entities

Data Entry and Reporting Associate

The Capital Markets and Investor Relations Teams are an integral part of Bluerock. Marketing Assistant

Bluerock, a national asset management and investment company with $4 Billion in AUM, is searching for a qualified, full-time Marketing Assistant for its Boise, Idaho location. This position is ideal for an entry level individual just starting their career / recent college graduate. The Marketing Assistant will work directly with both the print and live marketing teams to develop materials for a variety of audiences, in a variety of mediums, at a national level.

Reporting directly to the Marketing Director, the Marketing Assistant will be responsible for a variety of administrative and marketing-related tasks which include, but are not limited to: multi-facetted brochures, business collateral, interactive newsletters, forms, direct mailers, electronic presentations (PowerPoint), email marketing, tradeshow booths and displays, and development of informational graphics such as charts and graphs. This position will be a member of the team that leads marketing and communications activities to wholesalers, broker-dealers, and investors.

The candidate must also be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines, operate independently and complete projects as needed with minimal direction. The right fit for Bluerock’s fast-paced and rapidly growing Marketing team will also require a candidate who has effective verbal communication skills, efficient time management abilities, attention to detail, and a sense of humor.

Qualifications:

  • Four-year degree in: advertising, design, or marketing preferred;
  • Proficiency with Adobe CS5 or above and Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, are required;
  • Proficient in HTML5/CSS3 for email marketing;
  • Basic understanding of WordPress;
  • Understanding of printing and prepress processes and prepping art files for print a plus;

  • Convert Word and Excel files into eye-popping PDF documents using Adobe Creative Cloud software;
  • Work with printing/fulfillment vendor on kit coding updates, online literature/forms catalog;
  • Assist in maintaining marketing email (Salesforce) templates, resends, mailing lists, content library; resolve bounced/undeliverable emails;
  • Assist in developing and maintaining promotional items;
  • Assist with compliance submissions (new and renewals);
  • Support the marketing team with the development and creation of educational materials;

Due Diligence and Investment Analyst

Our newest team member will have a minimum of 3+ years financial analysis / investment back office experience having worked for a high-volume financial advisor, independent broker-dealer, investment wirehouse, investment manager/advisor and/or professional real estate company. The position interacts with multiple departments including: accounting, compliance, due diligence, executive management and capital markets teams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in: accounting, business, economics, finance, or real estate;
  • 3+ years prior proven experience in financial / investment industries;
  • Exceptional financial analytical skills with an understanding of discounted cash flow analysis, financial modeling, forecasting techniques and variance analysis and quantitative analytics;
  • Understanding and use of commercial real estate financial statements, operating reports/budgets, terminology and applications is a plus;
  • Mastery of Excel and an ability to create in-depth financial analyses via modeling;
